This policy explains what happens to the information you share with The Container Retreat @ Canyon Lake when you inquire about renting a home. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, call us and ask.

Who we are

The Container Retreat @ Canyon Lake is a residential rental community at 420 Simon Crest, Canyon Lake, TX 78133. Leasing and marketing for the community are handled on the owner's behalf by EasyPark LLC. In this policy, "we" means the community and the leasing team acting for it.

What we collect

• What you type into a form. Your name, email address, phone number, when you are looking to move in, the length of lease you want, and anything you write in a message box.
• What you tell us on the phone. Our leasing line is answered by an automated assistant that identifies itself as such. Calls to that line are recorded and transcribed so we can respond accurately and keep a record of what was discussed. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and we will arrange a call with a person instead.
• Basic technical information that any website receives, such as your browser type and the page you arrived from, and a short-lived token used only to recognise a return visit within the same inquiry.

What we do not ask for, and do not want. We do not ask about your income, your household size, your age, whether you have children, your race, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, or disability. We do not want that information and it plays no part in whether a home is offered to you.

Why we collect it

• To answer your inquiry and tell you what is available.
• To schedule a call with the leasing team.
• To process a rental application if you choose to apply.
• To keep an accurate record of our communications with you.
• To understand which advertising channels bring people to the community, so we spend our marketing budget sensibly.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of service providers to run the leasing process. They only receive what they need to do their job, and they are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

• Our website and application hosting provider.
• The customer relationship system where inquiries, calls and applications are recorded.
• Our email delivery provider, which sends the confirmation and follow-up emails you receive from us.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a background check on the form to block automated spam. It is used to tell a person from a bot and nothing else.
• If you reach us through an advertisement on a social platform, that platform collects the details you submit in its own form before passing them to us, under its own privacy policy as well as this one.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How we contact you

When you submit an inquiry, you are asking us to get back to you, so we will reply by email, phone, or text message using the details you gave us. Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages. You can stop hearing from us at any time by replying to any email, telling us on a call, or emailing the address at the bottom of this page, and we will act on it.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry records for as long as we are in contact with you about a home, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us. Records connected to a rental application or a signed lease are kept longer, because housing and fair housing rules require us to be able to show how applications were handled. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email the address below and tell us what you want done. We will not treat you differently for asking, and it will not affect your application.

Children

This website is intended for people looking to rent a home and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Homes at this community are open to households of all ages and family sizes.

Fair housing

We are an Equal Housing Opportunity provider. All applicants are considered under the same written criteria. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.

Security

Information you submit is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored with access limited to the people who need it to do the leasing work. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we do not keep information we do not need.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
